Neuroathletics tools for neurocentric training

What is neuroathletics?

Neuroathletics is neurocentric training: an approach that brings eyes, balance and perception into movement training.

This category contains exactly the tools the Institut für Myologik works with in its seminars Neuroathletik Mobility and Neuroathletik Kraft – equipment used in day-to-day seminar and practice work.

The range runs from the Brock String in Oeko-Tex cotton and FSC beech wood, through Vision Sticks in Forex printed on both sides and pinhole glasses in three levels, to the wooden Mirror Box and the BFR bands for occlusion training with low load. All of it travels easily and is ready to use straight away: no assembly, no power, no accessories.

Anyone who wants to build visual exercises permanently into training or daily practice will find the right toolkit here – individually or as a set.

Which one suits you?

  • Neuroathletics set – the recommended way in: Brock String, three pinhole glasses, Vision Sticks, five eye charts, eye patch and four Vision Maps arrive in one package, so nothing has to be assembled item by item.
  • Brock String – binocular vision and convergence: three metres of cord, five wooden beads, nothing more is needed.
  • Vision Sticks – fixation, pursuit eye movements and added cognitive tasks: the right starting point in this area.
  • Vision Sticks Pro – set of 6 – if you need variety: six different sticks featuring numbers, symbols, letters and figures, for working with changing clients every day.
  • Pinhole glasses – deliberately a set of three: level by level you work from the easier to the more demanding grid, instead of having to choose between too easy and too hard with a single pair.
  • Mirror Box in wood – working with the reflection: the choice for anyone working with the reflection as feedback in occupational therapy, eye training or neuroathletics who wants a stable, portable device for it.
  • BFR bands – sit outside the visual line-up: they belong in strength and endurance training with low loads on the upper arm and thigh and require qualified instruction before first use.

Please note on the pinhole glasses: they block around 70% of incoming light and therefore require bright daylight or artificial light; they are not suitable for activities that require wide peripheral vision, quick reactions or high concentration, such as road use.

If you want to combine both worlds, pair the neuroathletics set with the BFR bands and you have the toolkit of both seminar series at home.
