The Myologik Mirror Box is a wooden training device for mirror therapy and eye training. It mirrors a limb and thus provides immediate visual feedback for the exercise. At 25 × 34 × 15 cm and around two kilograms it stands firmly on any table and is ready to use without assembly. It is used in occupational therapy, eye training and neuroathletics.
Wood rather than plastic: the construction is made of natural material and, at around two kilograms, sits solidly on the table top instead of shifting with every movement. The Mirror Box was developed in collaboration with occupational therapy and is deliberately kept simple – put it down, place the limb, begin, with no adjusting required. It is just as easy to transport, moving effortlessly between treatment room, seminar room and car. At the Institut für Myologik it is one of the tools used in the seminars Neuroathletik Mobility and Neuroathletik Kraft. How it is used
In use, one limb is mirrored; the reflection serves as visual feedback for training. In practice the box fits on the treatment table between two appointments, at home on the dining table and in a seminar on the side table. To change location it is simply picked up and carried – no accessories are needed. It can be combined with the other tools from the neuroathletics range.
