Practice and training accessories
Practice & training accessories: from the ankle trainer to the MyoGun
These are the devices that are in use at the Institut für Myologik alongside rollers and balls – in treatment, in seminars and in the institute's own training.
From an ankle trainer through gliding discs, a speed rope and a breathing trainer to a stainless-steel impulse instrument for the practice, the range covers very different needs, and each of these products is in use in day-to-day practice and seminar work. The adjustment gun, for instance, is used in the institute's own physiotherapy work, and the core sliders and speed rope are used in training.
What they all share: little storage space, quick to use, no lengthy familiarisation. Anyone looking to extend their repertoire in a targeted way will find five tools here that do precisely what they were chosen for.
Which one suits you?
The choice becomes easier once you start from where you will use it.
- Adjustment Gun MyoGun – if you work on people therapeutically: a 304 stainless-steel impulse instrument with six force levels from 50 to 300 N for work on joints, supplied with four attachment heads in a case.
- Core Sliders – for your own training on the floor: they stay on the floor and challenge the core; with a pair of gliding discs also the simplest way into this category and the one for a small budget.
- Mylo Speed Rope – for coordination and pace: it brings movement into play and becomes noticeably heavier with the two 130 g additional weights in the handles.
- Breathing Trainer Air-Flow Power Breath – stands on its own: the right choice if you want to practise inhalation and exhalation against a resistance set on the rotary dial – at home, in the office or while travelling.
- Pro-Supi-Trainer – the device for the ankle: 30 cm long, one size for both feet, for pronation and supination while standing.
Travel a lot? The speed rope and the breathing trainer are the easy pair to pack: together they come to well under 700 g and need neither a mat nor floor space.
When in doubt: one device for the practice, one for your own training – that pair covers both the treatment room and your own sessions.
